Celebrating Culinary Heritage!
I’m excited to share that my digital artwork "Antipasti Campania" has been selected for "Art of Flavour"
powered by Alusta Art and HUG
Alusta is part of the Digital Finnish National Gallery program by NextGenerationEU.
This piece serves as a heartfelt tribute to my Italian roots, inspired by cherished childhood memories spent in my Nonna's kitchen, where flavors, love, and music came together. "Antipasti Campania" celebrates the rich flavors and traditions of Italian cuisine.
I’m more than honored to have my work featured in the Community Spotlight, showcasing the creativity of artists interpreting culinary stories!
1. Tell us a bit about yourself as a creative and how you ended up in the digital art world?
From an early age, I was immersed in the art of storytelling, whether through the maritime tales of my Italian grandparents or the photographs I took with disposable cameras. This passion eventually led me to launch my own creative communication agency, editoria33, where I combine narrative, atmosphere, and aesthetics to create meaningful stories and identities for brands. By using innovative tools like AI and Web3, I explore new ways to craft emotionally engaging content, often with a focus on social innovation and sustainability. Digital art, particularly using AI, became a natural extension of my desire to tell stories in new and evocative ways, tapping into the unconscious and creating visuals that stir emotions. Digital tools like AI allow me to craft the visual languages I see in my mind's eye.
2. What was your inspiration behind your work? Some certain memories, smells etc.?
"Antipasti Campania" draws from the vibrant sensory memories of my grandparents' kitchens. The aroma of salami, cheeses, and olives combined with laughter and warmth, creating a mosaic of experiences that deeply influenced this piece. It is a heartfelt tribute to the love and care my Nonnas infused into every meal, capturing the cherished moments of togetherness that have shaped my understanding of heritage.
3. What's the first food-related memory you can remember?
One of my earliest food memories is sitting in my Nonna's kitchen, watching her prepare food. I vividly remember the tangy taste of olives and the room filled with laughter and music. Those meals were about family and tradition, creating cherished memories that remain close to my heart.
Thank You Alusta – Kiitos !!
